Reporting light microscopy data
Too many scientific articles have a description of their microscopy methods like "microscopy was done on a Leica LSM" and get away with it. QUAREP-LiMi is an international group of several hundred microscopists who aim to promote the quality and reproducibility in light microscopy. Workgroup 11 compiled a list of essential data that should be given in every publication using light microscopy, the bare minimum. More information is always welcome and for some experiments of course additional information is a must, for example the time interval for time laps recordings, but this list really should always be covered.

Under the online view is a link to download the 5-page pdf file. The important bit is Table 1 on page 2. Table 2 is the same information plus machine readable tags. Page 4 has some examples.
